Hi Shahzadis!
Yesterday we looked at some very simple ways to create a kid friendly party that your family will remember for years to come… {Visit that blog post HERE}
Today we are going to go though some ideas that I have come across that are a little more grown up! this season I am loving the modern sleek elements that are complementary to your party rather than be overwhelmingly “Chrismas-y” I seem to be going a little nuts with the Greens…
I am a big fan of accessible decor. I don’t want to spend valuable gift buying time looking too hard for decor elements. If you have a few vases and some balls, you’ve got half the mantle right there! Add a few sprigs of pine and candles and metallic candle holders.. you have the other half!
Don’t you hate when you don’t know what to do with decor elements after the season is over? I do too! This is why I love this idea of using dishes that you ALREADY have with dome lids to create decor that is inexpensive and ties different elements of your home together!
So I LOVE wreaths! It’s the first element of holiday decor any one sees. It should be welcoming and a hint to what they can expect indoors. During the winter, the trees are barren and injecting your home with greenery just freshens your surroundings!
Now have a look at this decor piece I found!!
OKKKKAAAAAY! SO Cute! and SO totally easy to make at home. You need a wine glass or a stemmed candle holder, and paper doilies from the trusty dollar store, glue and spray paint!
First: Spray your doilies with the colour of your choice. – DRY, than make a dot in the center of the doily and cut a straight line from the outer edge of the doily to the dot in the center. you should basically have made a slice in it. than create a cone but bringing the two sides together and overlapping them. glue down. Than place over your wine glass and pile several doilies till you have the height you are looking for. top it with a pom or paper star and you are – DONE!
Obviously Shahzadis you don’t have to use these colours, as these ideas are not grounded by the colour but rather the elements! I hope these simple ideas gave you something to work off of! If you end up using these ideas or have used them in the past, let me know how it worked for you! I would love to know!
Thank you so much for dropping by!
